AMPTRON® 12V 100Ah Lithium LiFePO4 Batteries are an alternative replacement (AR) for most applications currently using a deep cycle Gel, AGM or Flooded Lead Acid battery. The maximum continuous discharge current is 200A and peak discharge current 400A for 3 seconds.

Battery Description

To begin, the batteries are uniquely designed using only the highest quality components and in addition are also backed with our 4-year warranty. Likewise, this includes the use of a robust Battery Management System (BMS), coupled with Aluminum encased prismatic cells, solid busbar connectors not to mention internal protection in attempts to reduce movement and damaging vibrations. Moreover, our batteries can additionally be placed on their sides, therefore offering versatile installation options. Furthermore, this feature provides added flexibility, allowing for a variety of setups to suit your needs.

“On top of that, the integrated Battery Management System is designed to monitor, protect, and optimize each cell within the battery. Additionally, the BMS maximizes the performance of the battery by automatically balancing the cells and protecting them from over charging, over discharging, over temperature, and excessive charge or discharge currents. Moreover, our integrated BMS allows our batteries to be used as an alternative replacement for most applications requiring deep cycle batteries, however if the charging system does not support a Lithium charge profile, there are some compromises – please contact Amptron for more information.”

Battery Features

HEAVY DUTY – BUILT IN BATTERY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM

AMPTRON® Lithium batteries use a built-in Battery Management System (BMS), which is designed to not only automatically disconnect the charging or discharging circuits but also prevent damage to the cells and internal electronics from abnormal operation. Likewise, the BMS helps to ensure both safe and accurate operation of the battery. In addition, this advanced system enhances the overall longevity and reliability of the battery, making it a dependable choice for various applications.

THE BMS PROTECTION FEATURES INCLUDE:

  • Low Voltage Protection Switch – Automatically disconnects the discharge circuit to prevent damage to the cells if the battery drains below a pre-set voltage.
  • Over Voltage Protection Switch – Automatically disconnects the charging circuit to prevent damage to the cells if the battery is being charged above a pre-set maximum voltage.
  • Short Circuit and Over Current Protection Switch – Automatically disconnects the discharge circuit if the load draws currents above pre-set limits.
  • Reverse Polarity Protection Switch – Automatically disconnects the charge and discharge circuits if a reverse polarity condition is detected.
  • Thermal protection – Built-in thermal sensors will automatically disconnect the charge and discharge circuits when excessive temperatures are detected.

CELL BALANCING
The BMS balances the cells through top-end balancing. Consequently, it discharges cells that exceed 3.65V during charging, preventing overcharging and ensuring the battery’s safety and efficiency.

INTERNAL CELL SAFETY

THERMAL FUSE: Our latest prismatic cell technology also features an internal thermal safety fuse between the anode and cathode, which likewise breaks and disconnects if the cell begins to overheat. In addition, this enhances safety and prevents potential damage.

SAFETY VENT: Each cell features a high-pressure safety vent that automatically opens to release energy, thus preventing explosions. As a result, the battery remains safe and reliable under various conditions.

FLAME RETARDANT ELECTROLYTE: Our cells are manufactured with a flame-retardant additive in our electrolyte.
